Questions and answers are submitted by users. ask the world does not verify the identity or humanity of respondents, or the accuracy, completeness, reliability, expertise, or qualifications behind an answer. Answers may be wrong, incomplete, offensive, automated, or misleading.

Do not rely on an answer as professional medical, legal, financial, safety, or other expert advice. Use qualified professionals and reliable sources when a decision matters.

What you may not submit

Do not submit private or sensitive information, doxxing, targeted harassment, threats, exploitation, illegal material, scams, phishing, spam, malicious automation, passwords, authentication secrets, payment details, or other abusive content. Links are not accepted in the current version.

Automated or bot submissions may be rate limited, rejected, removed, or blocked. Do not try to evade the service’s safety, privacy, or abuse-prevention controls.

Moderation and removal

We may reject, hide, or remove content, or restrict access, when reasonably necessary for safety, privacy, abuse prevention, service operation, or legal reasons. The service does not promise to detect every harmful submission.

Your content

You keep the rights you have in the questions and answers you submit. You give ask the world a limited license to receive, store, display, transmit, moderate, export, and delete that content only as needed to operate and protect the service. We do not claim ownership of your questions or answers.

No guaranteed audience or availability

We do not guarantee that the service will always be available, that a question will receive any particular audience, or that anyone will answer. Maybe one. Maybe a hundred. Maybe a million. Maybe nobody.
